Melanie Gregory

Born and rooted right here in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood, I grew up surrounded by a family of educators and musicians, which naturally instilled in me a deep, lifelong passion for both the arts and education. After completing my Master's Degree in Elementary Education (PK-4), I brought a student-centered philosophy into my teaching, one rooted in understanding the whole child, championing equity and liberation, fostering restoration, and bringing daily creativity into the learning space. Guided by my faith, I strive to connect with and uplift every student who walks through my door. Outside of teaching, you will often find me singing to bring joy and peace to others, or spending quality time with my two wonderful nephews, family, and friends.
