2021 Hispanic Heritage Month

Since September was Hispanic Heritage Month, our teachers planned intentional activities to help us “celebrate a diverse community,” a key part of our mission at HPCA. Whether making Bata drums to honor the first group of Cuban women to play professionally, reading Latinx authors, or learning the Puerto Rican musical traditions of Bomba and Plena, students had a rich range of projects to explore the colorful variety of Latinx cultures God has given our school, neighborhood, and world.
